All-In to Fight Cancer + SafeOpt

SafeOpt at All-In to Fight Cancer's poker tournament for charity

Last Thursday, March 2nd, All-In to Fight Cancer hosted their annual Texas Hold ‘Em tournament for a great cause. For over 12 years, All-In has been raising money to fund cancer research, treat and care for both adult and child cancer patients, and to support patients, families, and survivors. The first poker tournament was held in 2011 and raised $12,500 for the LiveStrong foundation. Since then, All-In has gone on to raise over $1,400,000 for over 20 different cancer-fighting charities. Some may support specific cancer centers or hospitals, while others may fund research into new treatments or provide financial assistance to patients and their families. This year’s beneficiaries were Go Jen Go, The Paula Takacs Foundation, Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute, and Novant Health.

The decision to play Texas Hold ‘Em each year honors one of All-In’s co-founders, Rob Eubank, who sadly passed from his battle with colon cancer. According to All-In’s website and all other accounts, Rob was a great human who loved a good card game.

SafeOpt was proud to be one of the event’s sponsors for the second year in a row. This year the poker tournament was held at the Filmore in Charlotte, NC. The evening was filled with excellent music, delicious food, and great humans together for a great cause. The tournament was run professionally, with dealers and staff ensuring that the game ran smoothly and that everyone had a good time. As the night progressed, the competition became more intense, with players vying for the top spot and the chance to win win it all.

There were around 700 attendees at the event, both playing and watching, making it an extraordinary night. Having so many community members come together to make a difference was inspiring. Various speakers gave moving stories about losing their loved ones to cancer or surviving the fight. It was an honor to hear first-hand how All-In was able to make a difference in the cancer community. We are so grateful that we get to be a part of the fantastic work All-In is doing, and a complete joy to attend and be surrounded by so many great humans.

We would like to express our gratitude to All-In and all the individuals whose hard work and dedication made it a fantastic evening we were privileged to participate in. To learn more about All-In to Fight Cancer and support their incredible cause, visit https://www.allintofightcancer.org/.
