Advocating for Children & Supporting Families: Just Tryan It's Fight Against Childhood Cancer

At SafeOpt, our core values are paramount, and we endeavor to uphold them daily. We take pride in recognizing organizations that epitomize our values and serve as motivation. "Be Helpful" is one of our core values, and Just Tryan It, a non-profit organization committed to helping families affected by childhood cancer, genuinely embodies this principle. Their unwavering dedication to assisting families in overcoming cancer's challenges while providing financial support, emotional care, and hope is truly commendable.

Just Tryan It was founded in 2010 by a group of empathetic women who aimed to support their friend, whose child, Ryan Darby, had been diagnosed with cancer. In Ryan's memory, Just Tryan It became an official non-profit organization, intending to "positively impact the lives of families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer by providing financial assistance." Their primary fundraising event, a children's triathlon, has been a tradition since their establishment. The triathlon promotes children's health and fosters a sense of community engagement and generosity. Participants are encouraged to obtain pledges and raise awareness about the difficulties faced by families with sick children.

Just Tryan It provides vital financial aid, education, and guidance to numerous families facing pediatric cancer. They equip families with crucial resources and information to help them comprehend and navigate cancer treatment's complexities. In 2022 alone, they supported 214 families, significantly enhancing their lives. Their persistent efforts to aid families throughout their cancer journey and deliver necessary resources are truly remarkable.
As a proud sponsor of Just Tryan It, SafeOpt invites everyone in the Chapel Hill, NC, area to participate in the upcoming children's triathlon on Sunday, April 30th. This event is an excellent chance to support a fantastic cause.
